Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book an assessment?

Please contact me and I will respond as soon as I can. I am always happy to discuss your concerns in a phone call and if you would like to go ahead, will then email you some questionnaires plus a visual difficulties checklist. Once these have been completed and returned, we can arrange a date. A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking.

The balance is due 48 hours before the assessment takes place. Please make all payments via bank transfer using the invoice number as your reference. If you are unable to make the assessment, you may reschedule without incurring charges and the deposit will move to the newly agreed date.

If you wish to change a booking, please give as much notice as possible, so I am able to offer the appointment to another individual. In the event of client cancellation within 48 hours of the assessment date or non-arrival at the specified time, the deposit will be forfeited.

The assessment session

This can be carried out remotely using an online platform or in a suitable face-to-face setting. Testing is conducted through a range of assessment tasks covering:

What happens next?

A formal report is provided, containing the assessment results, diagnostic conclusions, recommendations for support, including exam access arrangements, and useful resources. This will be emailed within 3 weeks as a PDF. Where appropriate, recommendations for onward referrals will also be included. Once you have read the report, I am happy to answer any further questions you may have in a post-assessment phone call.
