About Me

About me

Hilary Greening

I am a Dyslexia / SpLD Specialist Teacher Assessor and have held a current Assessment Practising Certificate since 2012.  My assessments and reports are written in accordance with the SpLD Assessment Standards Committee (SASC) current guidelines and I hold full membership of PATOSS (The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties).

I started my career as a Speech and Language Therapist, so have a good insight into the relationship between spoken and written language. After moving to Guernsey in 2010, I joined the team at Dyslexia Day Centre (DDC) gaining my Postgraduate Diploma in Dyslexia and Literacy. As Lead Dyslexia Specialist Teacher since 2016, I have had the privilege of co-ordinating a team of highly experienced and specialist teachers to provide training, tuition, assessments, support, and advice across the island.

Looking to the future, Talk Dyslexia Channel Islands has been established with the aim of ‘Embracing Neurodiversity’. My vision is to provide an expert and high-quality service to assist and improve the lives of people with dyslexia and related difficulties of all ages.
